The AdoptaPlatoon Soldier Support Effort™ was founded in 1998 and is a nonprofit 501C-3 organization. It is managed nationwide by volunteer mothers, whose purpose is to ensure that deployed U.S. Service members of all branches of the military receive needed mail support and to promote patriotism in schools and communities.

To provide a better deployment quality of life, lift morale, and assist military families, AdoptaPlatoon engineers campaigns to meet specific military needs and develops special projects for holidays.
